This meeting regarded a discussion referring to each question of our evaluation task. As a group we selected specific questions based around our personal stenghts in the enablement of gaining full marks. Further to this, we summarised our feelings and opinions towards our final products which will help promote the successes of our evaluation tasks. Nonetheless, one group member was absent, therefore we will be having another meeting to reiterate everything previously discussed.

This meeting regarded the final product of our Horror magazine, which had to be altered in tasks as the team member completing the magazine failed to produce an equal level of competentcy in relation to our Poster. Therefore Ana&Hannah will take over this task in the New Year, to attempt to create something of similar quality within a short piece of time, in recognition of the deadline having passed then.
Meeting 16:

Date: Tuesday 13th December 2016
|
In this meeting we joined to each other to discuss what was left to complete before the final deadline which was a few days away.
Shannon, as editor she is happy with what she has completed so far, she has completed all her final shots that needed to be placed in the trailer to make it flow smoothly, most of these shots have been edited, she's just left with captions.
Hannah, is pleased with how far she has come with her poster, she has edited her image and added all the conventions necessary to it, she's just making some last minute adjustments to it e.g. the font for the film title as another group used the same font and our teacher suggested we changed our's as it wasn't as suited to our film theme.
Ana, has started playing around with her sound. She has started by placing all the drones and thuds in to give her an idea of how the soundscape will need to flow, she will be adding in the filler audio such as sfx, glass, heartbeats, music etc.
Toni, has almost finished her magazine she just needs to colour pick from Hannah's poster so that everything shows a sense of congruency.

In this meeting we came together as a group to update each other in regards to where we are currently standing with each of our tasks.
Shannon, who was allocated the task of being editor has some footage to re-shoot due to issues with lighting, and some new shots to add in as she found when adding all of our shots onto the animatic we needed some filler shots and more shots of the protagonist to project the story better. Hannah, who was allocated the task of creating the poster is currently on track with her layout and image in place, as of now she just needs to edit her image more and experiment with the poster layout to see which looks more professional. Ana, who was allocated the task of sound is waiting for Shannon to finish editing so that she can use the finished edited trailer to accurately base her sound on and begin to create it. As of now she has completed her first version of the soundscape based on the storyboard animatic from the pre production process. Toni, who was allocated the task of magazine, has chosen her layout and is now adding her coverlines, subheadings and main coverlines around the image. |

In this meeting we reviewed our individual task and how we felt about it. The overall feedback for production was very positive as we all felt that we tried our hardest to achieve the most out of the task.
Hannah felt that makeup and costume went well due to its simplicity. The reason for this is that the costumes used where plain and cost friendly as plain white long t-shirts had to be brought has it would only result in it being distroyed. Also the antagonist costume was borrowed from the science lap not costing us a penny. Overall displaying all her research was quite easy but the film inspirations was mad her life a living hell :)
Toni said that the production stage for her was easy but the difficulty she was having uploading her work made it hard for her.
Shannon felt as if she had the hardest job organising all the filming day and the shots that needed to be taken on the day. The thing that she enjoyed was being creative inregards to showing who the cast and crew were. The filming location was not how she felt it would be, the pictures made it look asif it was bigger than it actually was which resulted her and miss alam having to move around some of the furniture to make spae for the different shots.

The whole group has decided to leave the make up to Hannah as she knows what she wants but need to allocate team members to bring in props i.e. a blow dryer and sponges to help her out. Although we had the meeting in the Mac room we continued the meeting via whatsapp which the pictures underneath show.

Hannah, Continued her practice and develop her makeup techniques at home which involed her learning how to make fake injuries look more realistic. She took the time to practiced on friends and also herself.
Ana, looked at previous groups sound ideas to get an good idea of what would sound good for our trailer from what our animatic looked like.
Shannon, began to research into the locations and which shots would be best to use with the given space. She also had a meeting with the cast we chose discussing any queries they both may of had regarding the day of filming and what they had to do.

This meeting consisted of us all continuing our production tasks and discussing where we are and what we are enjoying about our task.
Hannah, who was allocated costume and make-up has started looking at all the youtube trailers of the how to use latex to make scars. This is to make is realistic. Also what she is enjoying about her task is the fact that she has no restrictions as to how and what she is doing. Below is evidence of the tutorial she has mainly used to create her practice wounds.
Shannon, who was allocated the shooting& location reece has started writing a list of all the shots provided in the storyboard animatic. What she likes about her tasks so far is that it is specific and you can put your own style within it
Ana, who was allocated sound is now looking and listening to the different sounds that could be cooperated within the trailer.
Toni, who was allocated camera work is now filming her camera angles and shots so that she is ready for shooting the actual trailer.
As a group we decided who we wanted to pick to act in our trailer because we are shooting alone without another media group. We came to the conclusion that we only wanted two other people in how trailer.

During this meeting we got our feedback sheets for the pre-production stage which included the improvements that need to be made within this stage to make our task better.
Ana, who was allocated print design was disappointed in receiving her grade as she felt she worked really well but she took this feedback and is going to use her half term to make improvements to show that she has acknowledged the feedback.
Shannon, who was allocated mood boards and artwork was more than disappointed as the feedback she received was incorrect BUT with discussion with Mr Haylock that was corrected and she also used her half term to make any additional changes to her mood boards and scan her art work to a higher standard
On the other hand Toni was probably the only person in the group who was happy with her feedback and didn't have much to correct
Overall we are all appreciative for the feedback given and we all take it into consideration and that will boost up our final grade as a group.

During this meeting we just discussed what we have done so far regarding our pre-production stage and how close we are to completing our task and what we are feeling is holding us back from actually finishing if we felt that we may not be able to finish it on time. But fortunately we are all on track to meeting the deadline and didn't have much negatives to say as are all breezing through the task. Only group negative is that we didn't meet our personal group deadline which was in today's lesson.

Shannon's feedback was to make the link button for each page, upload the team logo and also make sure the group picture is on the team profiles page.
Hannah's Feedback was to include all connotations, also she needs to section textual analysis to make it more consistent.
Pre-production Progress:

Within this meeting we reviewed each task we were set for the development stage and spoke about the pro's and con's of it.
Ana's task was to create and pitch the concept and treatment of our possible 2 films. She said it was difficult trying to form an idea with a strong context. She said it was also difficult to plan 2 concepts from scratch and making sure it was believable to our chosen target audience.
Hannah's task was to collect all the textual analysis each person had created and make sure all the grammar was correct then publish it on weebly. She found this task quite simplistic as everyone completed it on time with the deadline that we set within the group. She also said what she found difficult was the problematic nature of weebly, as it was harder to amend grammatical errors due to it deleting each individual letter.
Toni's task was to collect everyone's summer packs and create the horror genre. This task contained scanning specific piece of work to explain the horror genre as a whole. She liked the consistency of creating the power point and making it look appealing. She didn't like when their was incomplete work that she had to scan which she hated.
Shannon's task was to create the group website, email, team profiles and taking the minutes of the first meeting. During this task she enjoyed actually creating the website and learning how to make the tabs. She also liked being the one to pick which pictures are featured on each page. One thing that she found difficult was turning the website black as with the first theme that she choice she didn't get the option to change it from white to black so she had to play around with different appealing themes.
Overall the task allocated to each team member were all completed meeting the given deadline. In this meeting we also allocated the roles for the Pre-Production stage.
Ana: Print Design
Hannah: Audience Research
Toni: Storyboard & Animatics
Shannon: Moodboard & Artwork
