What have we learnt from
our Audience Feedback?
For our A2 project we had the task to make a poster, trailer and magazine for our sub-genre slasher of For Pre-Production we completed a survey obtaining information for what the audience would like for a horror trailer. This was for our trailer, poster and magazine and with this we incorporated these ideas and developed these products. We developed post audience research to see if we produced what our target audience wanted. and This was done through different survey’s social mediums such as snapchat and vlogs .

Examples of methods to gain feedback:
YouTube is an online video sharing website launched in 2005 by 3 PayPal employees. YouTube allows people to upload and create videos for viewers to watch and share. With having over 100 hours of video being uploaded every minute and over a billion users YouTube is no doubt one of the most popular and fastest growing website in the world. YouTube is free and easily accessible therefore we knew it was essential to upload our trailer
Twitter is an online news and social networking service founded in 2006. It allows users to send messages to their followers which are called tweets with a maximum of 140 characters. Twitter has almost 100 million users sending 340 million tweets a day, No doubt that this is a popular service used which would allow quick and snappy responses.
Snap chat is an multimedia image messaging application created by three Stanford University students. With Snap chat you can send images and videos to either an individual recipient or all your Snap chat recipients. Text additional images and drawings can be added on your ‘snap’. This medium is useful for obtaining information as it is popular
for our target audience. i Message is an instant message service created by Apple inc . This service allows you to send texts with emoji , documents , photos , videos ,contact information , audio messages and group messages if you have the operating system IOS and are supported by one of the Apple products . We decided to use I message as the use of apple products have surpassed over 1 billion people. Therefore with it being a popular and quick way to communicate we thought it would be ideal to use this access to feedback .

Our Poster;
Posters are a very common use of advertising to promote a new film around the world they can be put in many different forms , eg on a bus . on a billboard , in a cinema/picture house screening. We decided to use some social media to gain our feedback for our poster as it can be transferred easily and quickly and with social media being popular with our target audience we can share it globally . Features of a horror movie poster are; main image , film title , film credits , release date and actors/actresses featuring in the film. Inspirations of our poster were A nightmare on elm street as we liked how the antagonist was taking up most of the space and the red color which was used adds a connotation of danger and blood . Another inspiration was Hellraiser - Bloodline as we liked how an iconic object was incorporated in the poster which we done with the injection . Also the main images NVC is quite sinister which is what we done in ours . For the poster we asked 10 people 10 questions on their opinion on our trailer . This was obtained through Whats app , Written form and through video.

Our Magazine
Magazine are done to advertise certain content which are generally published. Horror magazines are done to scare to frighten or scare the reader while advertising the content. We made sure we stuck to many conventions such as big masthead ,main image taking up most of the page and spread out cover lines . This was done to create a sense of familiarity and make it look realistic. Our horror magazine inspirations were "Paracinema and RueMorgue" as we particularly liked how young females were displayed as the main images . We again used social media to gain feedback it it being so popular for our target audience. We used Snapchat and an online survey to obtain this . Asking five people on Snapchat and five people on the survey.

Our trailer
Our film inspirations were You're next 2014 and Carrie 2013. We chose You're next due to the fast paced movement of the shots and soundtrack. The trailers pace of sound also increased as the disequilibrium took place, this is a feature we loved. With this trailer we used i as a template for our trailer as we thought it matched well with our anamatic and give us structure . Carrie inspired us as it dealt with the theme of revenge and hate due to a circumstance . We also felt that carries ending of the trailer left us with a cliffhanger without a resolution something we incorporated in ours. we decided to gain feedback from our audience mostly through video such as a trailer screening and additional written surveys. We asked 3 people through a test screening and 10 written surveys. We also uploaded our video on YouTube to gain worldwide acess

FINAL CONCLUSION
After finishing our final three products we clearly saw how we have gained many skills over the way especially technical skills such as camera work. We have also sharpened our skills in other areas as well. We definitely learned how it is important to listen to the audience opinion as at the end of the day they are who we are aiming put product for so listening to them was a wise choice. We know that we did not get 100% in our responses but overall most of our responses they were happy with our choices made . Lastly there feedback was very essential as if we to do this task again or something like it we would know how to adapt , things to change and things to keep.
