Our Inspiration
The reason why this is one of our inspirations for ours shots is because of the establishing shot that trailer begins with. The lighting within this trailer also reflects the type of lighting we would like to be included in our trailer which creates the horror atmosphere that needs to be involved in our trailer. This trailers uses the location of a basement, which the events of the antagonist being aggressive with the protagonist appears. This also reflects our trailer as the basement of the house is where the disequilibrium happens.
Hostel is a trailer that we believe had the best abandon environment setting for the events that partakes within it. This consists of a castle that looks like no one has taking care of it in THOUSANDS of years. The subtext behind this is that what may be beautiful one day may be ugly in the future. That subtext reflex our trailer concept and that is what makes it a unique location to use.
This horror movie has loads of tarnished locations showing destruction and created the horror concept for the trailer, which we felt was one of the most important elements to making our trailer as scary and horror related as possible.
